En agosto de 2013, la Administración de Alimentos y Medicamentos (FDA, por sus siglas en inglés) dio a conocer una norma definitiva que definía las características que debe tener un alimento para poder llevar una etiqueta que diga “sin gluten” (gluten-free). A un año de eso, las empresas ahora tienen que acatar la norma.
